Located in the WDM’s Car Gallery, the Archives Pavilion provides one-stop shopping for visitors to get their questions about history, archives and archival research answered. Staff from several Saskatoon archives will be on hand all afternoon, and each institution will have a display on exhibit.
In addition, plan to stop and watch some archival films, which will be running continuously throughout the day of the festival. See Dief the Chief face political foes in finest oratorical fashion. Watch archival documents come to life while learning about “A Chaplain’s War,” “A Curious Friendship,” and a “Prairie Fire.” See if an archived commercial can motivate you into “ParticipACTION.” And be swept off your feet in a “Prairie Romance.”
Institutions participating in the Archives Pavilion include: City of Saskatoon Archives; University of Saskatchewan Archives; Local History Room of the Saskatoon Public Library; Saskatchewan Archives Board; Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists.
